Description

The standard electronic control unit, with 99 storable planing dimensions, makes setting the planing height so easy that even the first piece fits like the last piece. The thicknessing table can also be moved in increments of 0.1 mm by simply pressing a button. The controls for the feed rate are also within easy reach of the operator. The T45 comes equipped with a soft start Star Delta starter and an electronic wear free brake.

The oscillation-damping machine frame in a compound construction, along with the optimally balanced cutterblock, are a guarantee for providing outstanding surfaces. Furthermore, the sound-absorbing construction in a modern industrial design ensures a comfortable, whisper-quiet operation.

The 1260 mm long, tilt-resistant cast iron machine table is mounted on four supporting spindles. The workpiece that is in transit, the feed rollers and pressure beams cause shear and compressive forces. The compressive forces are absorbed safely by the four spindles. Two large vee guides divert the shear forces into the solid supporting stand. A solution that is as intelligent as it is extensive, which consistently ensures perfectly machined workpieces.

Thanks to the TERSA solid steel cutter block, which enables a positive, exact positioning of the blades, the surfaces are perfectly planed – and it takes less than a minute to change each blade. TERSA reversible blades are available in four different qualities, i.e. the perfect blade for every task. In addition, by using two dummy cutters, the standard Z4 cutter block can also be operated as a Z2 cutter block.

You can also switch between the two feed speeds 6 and 12 m/min during planing. The optional infinitely variable feed rate enables speeds between 2 and 25 m/min at any time - depending on performance.

Furthermore, MARTIN offers different variants of feed and table systems for the T45: From the thicknessing table with or without guide rollers, and/or with vacuum chambers over rubber or steel feed rollers, which are smooth or grooved, culminating in one or two rollers at the out-feed side.
