Boere launches new website

Boere Machinefabriek B.V. - the specialist Dutch company manufacturing wide belt sanding technology - now has a new website at www.boere.nl

The Boere website is designed to detail the company's fundamental design and manufacturing philsophies and working methods : Quality in sanding solutions.

Boere delivers custom-made wide belt sanders and customer-orientated solutions for many sanding applications. Visitors to the website will get a good impression of the many and sometimes unusual products which can be machined by Boere sanders. The site has a 'service & maintenance' page showing the various aspects of Boere's after-sales service. It is all illustrated with pictures.

The page titled 'news' contains regularly updated information on wide belt sanding as does the page detailing occasional Boere machines.

Boere regularly trades in their own used wide belt sanders after which they will be extensively serviced and, in some cases, reconditioned. These machines are listed on the website with a short description and picture which can be enlarged on visitors' monitors by clicking on the machine.

The all important 'contact' page allows visitors to the site to easily contact Boere direct with comments, questions or orders via e-mail.

Earlier in the year Calderbrook was approached by a specialist company to sand film 0.4mm Thick. The project was so sensitive we are unable to reveal the companies name and the application.

Sanding of a very fragile film to tolerances of 0.01mm over 1300mm is no easy task, so Boere Machinery of Holland where approach with the brief.

Boere are renowned for their accuracy and reliability for producing sanding machines, but sometimes there ability to incorporate the latest technologies are over looked.

Boere are still a family owned and run company so great attention is given to each customers needs how ever large or small the company is. Further more the wide belt sanding machines are built in Holland using the finest materials and components.

The task was carried out on a Boere Select BK, built on a riduclusly heavy frame the machine can perform to such fine tolerances. Extras such as in and out feed coiling was added, inverter drive to sanding units and feed system and a special precision lift mechanism to achieve such fine adjustment of the sanding thickness.

Again another exceptional sanding solution by Boere.

TIFLEX 2100mm  Rubber Sanding

Through Calderbrook r the question was asked whether Boere could built a machine for sanding of rubber. However, this was not just rubber, but rubber floor covering for underground trains in London. Rubber is a dfficult material being very flexible and as such, sanding costs a lot of energy because the material quickly curls around which results in a turning off machine. If worst, both the material ánd the machine can be damaged.

Thus a machine was developed where a special vacuum system sucks the rubber mat on to the feed table. The machine is 2,10 m wide and in order to suck the rubber mat as effectively as possible, the vacuum system consists of four on/off switchable sections and a 80.000 holes conveyor belt.

The machine has been equipped with 2 contact roller units with which the 2 - 3 mm thick material is calibrated on the 1st contact roller while the 2nd contact roller provides for the fine finishing. Because of the material type both units will not be used simultaneously. Furthermore, operation takes place via a central operating panel on a swiveling arm, since the machine is very wide and operators need to operate the machine in an ergonomic way. As the machine quickly pollutes, inspection covers have been mounted so that cleaning can take place in time.
