Veneering equipment is required for the application of this layers of wood onto core materials such as MDF to produce panels. The advantages are that you get the effects of the fine woods and a much lower cost and also reducing damage to the environment. Most people buy there veneers in, a veneer guillotine is used to size the veneers to and a veneer stitcher is used to join the material together much like a sewing machine to produce sheets of the size required. The core material is then passes through a glue spreader which coats a full side evenly with glue. The stitched and sized veneered sheet is then laid on to the core and the same process is performed on the opposite side. The veneered core is then placed under pressure in the veneer press  to cure under pressure and heat.
