Structuring Machinery

The structuring or texturing of wood can be performed on various machines. This normalcy involves the removing of the softer grains producing a uneven surface that looks more natural. The structuring is performed with brushes normally steel or wire depending on wood types. For a more random appearance the machines brushes oscillate. A new advancement in the process is the scarving of the wood giving a more rough sawn look. The results from these machines are effective and really give wood a 3D feel. It is important that the machine is strong if it is perform, the brushes must be of high quality otherwise the effects are not as dramatic. Texturing can also be performed now on veneered panels.
