W16 Exhibition: We Came, We Sawed, We Conquered

This year’s national joinery and manufacturing show, W16 was held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on October 2nd-5th. This is where the industry meets to exhibit the latest machinery, components and materials using live demonstrations of woodwork machinery products.

Co-located with the Elements show for joinery suppliers, the event attracted thousands of people over the three days.

With industry leaders, top manufacturers and recognised distributors all there to see what the future of woodwork had to offer, Calderbrook Woodwork Machinery thought it only right that they went along.

The Exhibit

From all over the UK, industry leaders, demonstrators and woodwork machinery companies came together to show off the latest materials, machines and technology. We went along to show off our Panel Saw Twinplan that was loved by visitors as well as the Boere Metal which was a huge success.

People were asking questions, inquiring about the machine and the company, which made the whole day worthwhile. This machine is excellent because it is easy to operate, suitable for solid veneers and available for a great price.

Alongside the fantastic exhibitions and conversations between manufacturers, suppliers and distributors there were competitions, and feedback activities.

The innovation awards were judged highlighting the up and coming products in the manufacturing and joinery world. There was also a feedback event as well as a live furniture making competition which really drew in the crowds.

Our Best Sellers

The range of machines we displayed was there for our customers to see just exactly what we do here at Calderbrook Woodwork Machinery. This also meant we could talk to our suppliers about which machines were in highest demand, and which products were making a comeback.

The sliding table machine is part of the new generation of panel saws based on the know-how experienced Panhans technicians. This Panhans 680/10 has an attractive price level and is packed full of great german engineering.

Overall, the exhibition was a great success offering information, exhibits, conversations and chance to purchase for suppliers, manufacturers and consumers.
